(January 26, 2009) A second public meeting will be held for residents in the North Slave Region on Monday February 2 at 7:00 pm, at the Baker Community Centre (5710-50th Avenue) in Yellowknife.
Officials from the Department of Industry, Tourism and Investment will be presenting the findings of their 2008 summer-long consultation regarding the role and nature of parks services and campgrounds in the NWT.
Meetings will be held in other regional centres as requested. NWT residents wishing to meet with ITI representatives in these regions should contact their regional ITI Superintendent.

(January 19-23) Genuine Mackenzie Valley Fur Pelt Handling Workshops are being held in the South Slave and Dehcho Region this week. The workshops will include updates from the Fur Harvester Auction, instruction on pelt handling, and fur grading and skinning and stretching demonstrations on marten, lynx, fox and wolf.
