Business Development and Investment Corporation
The Business Development and Investment Corporation (BDIC) is an independent Crown Corporation that supports the economic objectives of the Government of the Northwest Territories by encouraging the creation and development of business in the NWT.
The BDIC offers loans, standby letters of credit, investments and contributions. It also establishes and owns subsidiary companies.
The BDIC also provides business information and guidance for prospective businesses and entrepreneurs in the NWT through Canada Business NWT, which is operated in partnership with Industry Canada.
Regional Programs and Services of the Department of Industry Tourism and Investment are delivered through regional offices in: Yellowknife (North Slave), Fort Smith (South Slave), Norman Wells (Sahtu), Fort Simpson (Dehcho) or Inuvik (Inuvik).
