The vibrant core of the Beaufort Delta gains a national audience tonight as a popular TV show turns its gaze to the North.

Still Standing, a CBC program featuring comedian Jonny Harris touring small towns across Canada, visited Inuvik late last-year and the episode produced airs tonight at 7pm.

The series’ sees Harris travel community-to-community and immerse himself in the local culture while highlighting the unique sights, sounds, and spirit of each community.

Each episode culminates in an original stand-up comedy set performed about the visited town to the locals taking insights from spending time with the locals.

The Department of Industry, Tourism and Investment helped the production crew source equipment and locations in the community through the Northwest Territories (NWT) Film Commission as part of its commitment to assist guest producers outlined in Take One: A Film Strategy and Action Plan for the NWT.
