NorthernMost Host is a free, two-day training opportunity offered by ITI that prepares participants to welcome visitors and build skills for quality customer service.
The course is available in all communities in the Northwest Territories upon request. It is ideal for those that work in the tourism and hospitality industry – including hotel staff, restaurant employees, retail staff and tour guides to name a few.
Some of the topics covered include:
- The tourism industry in the NWT (statistics, things to see and do, tourism organizations, and more);
- Aboriginal cultural tourism;
- Customer service techniques; and
- Dealing with challenging visitors.
