Trapper Workshops
Trapper training remains an integral part of the Industry, Tourism and Investment mandate to keep trappers knowledgeable about NWT Trapping Regulations, trap standards and technology.
Past workshops have included a trap exchange segment where participants were given new approved traps in place of old ones. In conjunction with our Territorial Trapper Training mandate, the Fur Institute of Canada was invited to the NWT to present to NWT trappers several updates on the Agreement on International Humane Trap Standards.
