Tourism 2010: A Tourism Plan for the Northwest Territories outlines the investment and steps that the GNWT will follow to develop and expand the tourism industry in the Northwest Territories.

The Department is also responsible for developing, operating and maintaining facilities that include parks, visitor centres and interpretive displays.

Tourism and Parks Programs are delivered through ITI regional offices in: Yellowknife (North Slave), Fort Smith (South Slave), Norman Wells (Sahtu), Fort Simpson (Dehcho) or Inuvik (Inuvik).
