Natural Features of the North

Canada's Northwest Territories covers 1.17 million square kilometres of an amazing variety of landscapes. The landscapes vary between mountains that shoulder up to the sky in the west, and the vast Barren lands to the east. Dividing these epic landscapes is the enormous geological trench we call the Mackenzie Valley, where Deh Cho, "the Great River", flows to the Beaufort Sea.
