Cameron River Crossing is one of the many parks strung like beads along the Ingraham Trail. It is located approximately 56 km east of Yellowknife. On the south side of the Ingraham Trail where it crosses the Cameron River, there are picnic tables right at the water's edge. Over to the north of the road, follow boardwalks and a short, easy path to the Cameron River Ramparts waterfalls. |

|
It is possible to hike further
downstream from Cameron River Ramparts to Cameron
Falls, a distance of 8 or 9 km. The trail is not well developed, but
the river is relatively easy to follow and the route obvious. If you
choose to follow the north (far) side of the river, you will have to cross
it at the Ingraham Trail bridge at Cameron River Crossing (there is a foot
bridge at Cameron Falls). |
