Dory Point is a modest park located beside the Mackenzie Highway, and on the south bank of the mighty Mackenzie River where it empties out of Great Slave Lake, just a short way from the Mackenzie ferry crossing at Fort Providence. Originally created as a convenient place to overnight for anyone who might have 'missed the last boat', it can also be a handy spot to take a break before heading on south on the long drive into Alberta. | |
