If you are camping with a tent, consider trying the walk-in campsites. They provide a sturdy, level wooden platform, in comparison to the usual pull-in vehicle sites that are surfaced with gravel chips. The platforms have tie downs for tent guy ropes, and are sited just a short walk in from a parking spot, firewood and water supply, and toilet. They are located up on the rocky area above the rest of the park, where the summer breezes blow the biting insects away at night, and there is a nice view of Long Lake. |

The Ingraham Trail Pavilion can be seen on your left as you drive towards your camping loop from the gate house; it is located across from the shower building. There are displays telling you about some of the things you can see and do along the Ingraham Trail, the road to the east of Yellowknife that links up eight more Territorial Parks, including two with campgrounds
The links will take you to a full page description of each of these parks. |
