There is a network of trails that connect Fred Henne to other Yellowknife parks, and to the Ski Club's trails close by. The 4km Prospector's Trail takes you to see some of the oldest rock formations in the world, and guided nature tours along it are offered - ask at the park office. |

Fred Henne Park is located at the termination of the Frontier Trail, your route to Yellowknife, the Diamond Capital of North America. Summer beach activities are available. Nearest visitor information centre to the park is the Northern Frontier Regional Visitors Centre in Yellowknife. The next nearest NWT parks with camping facilities are at Prelude Lake 34 Km to the east on the Ingraham Trail; and at Ft Providence, near the ferry crossing of the Mackenzie River 315 Km to the south. |

| Operational Season: | Fred Henne Territorial Park is open from May 15th to September 15th . Trails within the park may be accessible on foot outside of those dates, but they will not be maintained clear of snow, and so you enter at your own risk. Services such as toilets and garbage removal are not provided outside the open season. |
