Prosperous Lake Day Use Area, primarily a boat launch, is one of the many parks strung like beads along the Ingraham Trail It is located approximately 21 km east of Yellowknife.

Don't be deceived by the apparent size of Prosperous Lake as seen from the boat launch - most of it is "just out of sight".

Nearby attraction is Prelude Lake Territorial Park.

Nearest visitor information centre to the park is Northern Frontier Regional Visitors Centre in Yellowknife.

Operational Season:
Prosperous Lake Day Use Area is open from May 15th to September 15th . Ramps and parking within the park may be accessible on foot outside of those dates, but they may not be maintained clear of snow, and so you enter at your own risk. Services such as toilets and garbage removal are not provided outside the open season.
