It was a busy week in Délı̨nę with art workshops running October 1st through the 4th.
Almost 40 residents took part in workshops as part of the community’s celebration of NWT Arts Week.
With instruction, they created and took home a number of their own art pieces. Introductory projects ranged from beaded earrings and keychains to children’s mitt strings and crochet dishcloths.
Participants expressed their delight with their creations and how they hope to see more NWT Arts programming in the community.
The Department of Industry, Tourism and Investment was proud to partner with the community of Délı̨nę to put on the workshops which encouraged local creativity. Supporting the arts is just one of the ways the GNWT promotes and encourages a strong and diversified economy.
