About 15 artists gathered at the Fort Simpson Heritage Centre in February for a Meet and Greet with the Department of Industry, Tourism and Investment’s regional office.
In addition to a providing an opportunity for artists to network with each other, ITI offered information about funding programs, upcoming 2023 events, the new NWT Arts Strategy, ways to promote their work under the NWT Arts Program and benefits of being a registered member. The event was followed by a meal of stew, bannock and tea.
“It was good to connect with other artists in the community, and we thank ITI for organizing this event. We are looking forward to registering for the NWT Arts program and are eager to expand our new business in the region. It was a good evening with lots of laughs and learning”.

The Regional ITI office looks forward to collaborating on more meet-and-greet events to highlight programs and supports for the NWT’s art and film sectors.
