The three-day NWT Tourism Conference and AGM was capped off with a gala dinner and award ceremony in Yellowknife last night.

The Department of Industry, Tourism and Investment (ITI) commends everyone in the NWT tourism industry for a highly successful year and congratulates last night’s award recipients in particular:

• Parks Hospitality Award: Brenda Penny and Robert Chenard, operators of Twin Falls Territorial Park
• Customer Service Award: Deanna Buckley of the Ptarmigan Inn in Hay River
• Operator of the Year: the Community of Ulukhaktok for the great job they did in welcoming the Crystal Serenity cruise ship.
• Lifetime Achievement Award: Al Pace of Canoe North Adventures

The annual conference is hosted by NWT Tourism and brings together tourism operators, hospitality providers, government, and community representatives from across the territory to learn, collaborate, innovate, and inspire.
