The Department of Industry, Tourism and Investment has released the Business Incentive Policy (BIP) guidelines to improve clarity and transparency for NWT Businesses.

The new BIP guideline document responds, in part, to recommendations arising from the 2021 Review of the Government of Northwest Territories Procurement Policies, which included recommendations designed to make it easier to do business with GNWT and aimed at improving information sharing and helping suppliers navigate the procurement system.

The guidelines direct you through the application process for a NWT-based business to be added to the BIP registry, as well as the eligibility criteria, service standards, and requirements for registered businesses to maintain their registration.
