For those looking to spend the September Long Weekend outdoors, the Department of Industry, Tourism and Investment invites you to Fred Henne Territorial Park which has a number of activities planned for all ages.
Visit the Kitchen Shelter at the Fred Henne Boat Launch on Sunday, September 4th between 1-4pm to experience Northern Inuit games, Inuit throat singing, canoe rides, and art activities for kids. Be sure to enjoy tea and bannock around the campfire.
Campers at Fred Henne Territorial Park also have the opportunity to earn the coveted title of ‘Coolest Camper’ by decorating their campsites. Judging will be based on creativity and originality and visual appeal. The winners will have their photo posted on NWT Parks Facebook.
