Fort Resolution invited residents to take part in tourism talks on February 27, 2019 at the Aurora College Learning Centre.
The intention was to encourage constructive conversations that will help create a strategy plan for the community. Tourism is on the rise in the NWT and could be a key economic driver for Fort Resolution.
GNWT Tourism Development Officers delivered ideas on how to move Fort Resolution forward to develop products visitors want and what type of things the community needs to best welcome and serve tourists.
The team will also take feedback on how the local community can be better supported as they work to develop tourism products and attract visitors.
This initiative is part of the GNWT’s its Tourism 2020 strategy.
This plan defines how the GNWT grows and strengthens the NWT’s tourism sector in support of greater regional economic diversity.
