The Department of Industry, Tourism and Investment is seeking expressions of interest from qualified candidates to become members of the Business Development and Investment Corporation (BDIC) Board of Directors.
Have you owned or managed a business in the NWT? Do you have business experience relevant to the territorial economy? As long as you don’t currently work in the public sector, you are eligible to apply.
The BDIC was established to develop and deliver business assistance programming to businesses in the NWT, and operate certain subsidiaries to encourage employment in small communities.
Through this work, they promote financial independence, assist communities in developing capacity to capitalize on economic opportunities, and help develop a strong, diverse economy for the territory.
The Board of Directors is responsible for directing the operations of the BDIC and holding the organization accountable to their mission of sustainable development.
If this sounds like your kind of opportunity, submit your Expression of Interest before June 4, 2020 at 12:00pm.
Submit a letter including your name, community, and a summary of your interest, qualifications and applicable business experience to Mr. Matt Fournier, Manager, Legislation and Legal Affairs for the Department of Industry, Tourism and Investment at Matt_Fournier@gov.nt.ca.
