The Department of Industry Tourism and Investment is once again teaming up with the NWT and Nunavut Chamber of Mines to recognize excellence in mining and exploration at the third-annual Mining and Exploration (MAX) Awards — and we want your help!
The MAX Awards are all about celebrating excellence across the many areas which mining and exploration contribute to the NWT.
There are five award categories under which we're looking for individuals and/or teams to recognize:
- Indigenous Achievement
- Distinguished Service
- Environmental and Social Responsibility
- Special Achievement
- Economic Leadership

But time is running out to submit your nominations. We need to hear from you by November 5, 2019 for our awards committee to consider your contribution. There are a few ways you can submit:

- For award criteria, view the document library here
- Email the selections committee
- In-person at the NWT and Nunavut Chamber of Mines office in the Scotia Centre
The 2019 Max Awards will be announced November 21st as part of a gala event concluding the annual Yellowknife Geoscience Forum.
