The Government of Canada is reaching out to Canadians for input and insights on a proposed free trade agreement with China. We want Northwest Territories residents to have their voices heard.

Federally-led consultations are underway, and will continue through June 2017. All Canadians, Indigenous groups, stakeholders, academics, experts, and interest groups are invited to participate.

The Department of Industry, Tourism and Investment represents the Northwest Territories in matters of trade. With a small domestic market, our territory relies on national and international trade to build a more diverse economy. Trade agreements allow us to access the new markets needed to achieve our economic goals.
