The GNWT has introduced a new and improved online directory for its Business Incentive Program (BIP).
The directory, which launched on the Department of Industry Tourism and Investment’s website, offers clients a more-streamlined and user-friendly way to access data and information that they can use to research or inform their proposal writing.
ITI’s Manager of the BIP and the Contract Registry and Reporting System, Kim Wilkins says she thinks vendors will appreciate the convenience of having all of the information they need available from a single web source.
She hopes the more-ready access will encourage increased partnerships and joint ventures as NWT companies and businesses work together to strengthen their respective bids for government contracts.
The new online BIP directory will make things smoother behind the scenes as well. The upgraded technology allows multiple GNWT departments to work with a single data source – reducing, timelines, duplication, processing errors and costs.
In line with government commitments, the new BIP directory will also improve accountability and public reporting when it comes to GNWT procurement.
