The Department of Industry, Tourism and Investment (ITI) is a partner sponsor to a major energy and innovation conference beginning today in Inuvik.

The Arctic Energy and Emerging Technologies Conference and Tradeshow kicks off its first full-day of programming today. Planned topics include resource development, exploration, energy generation and conservation, renewable energy, and innovation; all with an Arctic bend.

Building on the success of the Inuvik Petroleum Show, the Town of Inuvik has worked with industry experts and sponsors both private and public to put together two full days of engaging programming designed to encourage networking and knowledge-sharing.

The Northwest Territories (NWT) is a region of massive petroleum potential.

The GNWT is working to ensure that NWT residents and businesses will be ready to capitalize on the next peak in commodities – and is proud to sponsor the Arctic Energy and Emerging Technologies Conference as part of its mandate to attract responsible resource development to the NWT.
