As the NWT’s new government prepares to welcome - then join - delegates at Yellowknife’s premier geoscience and natural resources event, the latest edition of Unlocking our Potential has hit the trade-show floor.
The magazine — published by the GNWT’s Department of Industry, Tourism and Investment — helps to tell the story of the territory’s resource potential and GNWT initiatives to improve the NWT investment climate to industry audiences around the globe.
The latest edition includes features on the way forward for the territory’s Mineral Resources Act, the coming digital shift for mineral staking, and infrastructure projects poised to open the NWT to investment and opportunity.
Also included is a rundown of 10 key projects with strong prospects and a tribute to the Mine Training Society and its retiring founder as the organization celebrates 15 years of building a stronger resident workforce.
The Unlocking Our Potential magazine is published and distributed along with the resource conference cycle, targeting physical copies at an industry audience; then telling and retelling individual stories through web and social media platforms.
It’s all part of the GNWT’s work to market the NWT’s mineral potential around the globe — a key objective of the NWT Mineral Development Strategy.
