Representatives from the Department of Industry, Tourism and Investment's (ITI) were on-hand at the North of 60 business conference May 31 - June 1 in Yellowknife promoting the vast, untapped resource potential of the Northwest Territories (NWT) as part of ITI's Unlocking our Potential marketing initiative.
This program is designed to strengthen the competitive edge for the NWT’s mining industry to better position the territory to attract more resource investment and development to realize – responsibly and sustainably — the full potential of the NWT's rich resource base.
Program content aims to increase awareness of the territory's resource potential and the measures being taken by government to address infrastructure and regulatory needs.
Marketing initiatives are undertaken in support of the 18th Legislative Assembly's mandated priorities in mining-sector support.
