New logo will represent NWT parks to the world

Minister of Industry, Tourism and Investment Caroline Wawzonek, (ITI) officially launched a new logo for NWT Parks today.


Our parks are cornerstones for our tourism industry, and when we eventually welcome visitors back to the NWT, our new logo will greet them with the possibility of adventure and opportunity in any direction.

The new logo is designed to showcase NWT Parks on many platforms and represents a number of our territory’s natural wonders; including its boreal forest and its waters, the midnight sun, the aurora, and the vibrant colours across the north.

The use of NWT Parks was increasing yearly prior to the COVID pandemic; and with local bookings up by nearly 50% last summer, they were prime staycation spots for NWT residents. Get more stats here

The development and marketing of NWT Parks as an element of the NWT’s rich tourism potential serves to support the GNWT’s mandate to increase economic diversification by supporting growth in non-extractive sectors.
