The Inuvik-to-Tuktoyaktuk Highway is the first all-season road to reach Canada’s polar shores. The 140 kilometre road ends at the dynamic community of Tuktoyaktuk – a new bucket-list destination for many road adventure travelers.

To assist visitor’s in reaching the NWT’s newest milestone, the GNWT has collaborated with Parks Canada and the Hamlet of Tuktoyaktuk to create a quick reference vistor guide to support the destination.

It gives visitors a rundown of the area, ideas on what to do, where to stay and a list of licensed tour operators. The guide is available at the Tuktoyaktuk Visitor Centre and distributed at various events.

Helping Tuk capitalize on new opportunities is one of the ways that the GNWT is supporting increased tourism development in the Beaufort Delta – and supporting the objectives of its Tourism 2020 Strategy.
