The Manitoba Craft Council’s annual CRAFTED Show and Sale is Winnipeg’s premier holiday sale of contemporary craft – and will showcase over 50 artists and their work.

This year, it’s happening entire online - and thanks to a partnership with NWT Arts, it will also feature nine artists from the NWT.

The event runs this weekend November 6-8, 2020.

“This partnership is a great opportunity for NWT craft artists who are ready to sell online to new markets outside the NWT”, said Johanna Tiemessen, Manager of the NWT Arts Program, ITI. “We are excited that the Manitoba Craft Council invited us to participate in their sale again this year. This online sale is a cost effective way for NWT craft artists to reach new southern audiences, and also learn about e-commerce platforms at the same time”.

Make sure to follow the NWT Arts Facebook and Instagram pages this week, as they feature the nine NWT craft artists and examples of their artwork.

Check out the Crafted Show and Sale website and keep an eye out for the art of the following artists:

  • Fibre and Textiles: Laksa Nerysoo
  • Jewellery: Inuk360, Cheryl Fennell, Ruth Modeste, Franziska Ulbricht, and Dalhai Vela
  • Carving and Sculpture: Levi MacDonald, and John Sabourin

As well, Arctic Canada Trading Company will feature a variety of work from Dene Fur Clouds in Fort Providence, Acho Dene Native Crafts in Fort Liard and Ulukhaktok Arts Centre in Ulukhaktok.
