Parks Officers Brush Up on Training

In preparation for next week’s opening, new and returning NWT Parks Officers from across the territory have received training in: verbal judo, basic law, and defensive tactics. Their new skills were fine-tuned this week in mock training exercises at Fred Henne Territorial Park.

Before they get to work, these officers will also take Northernmost Host training in support of their primary role as ambassadors for our spectacular parks and campgrounds.

The Department of Industry, Tourism and Investment maintains 32 parks. Parks Officers are employed to ensure visitors have a safe and enjoyable experience. Be sure to say hi to these officers during your stay!
