The Government of the Northwest Territories (GNWT) touched down in France this week with partners from the Conseil de développement économique des Territoires du Nord-Ouest (CDÉTNO) to spread word about the benefits of living and working in the Northwest Territories (NWT).

A representative from the Department of Industry, Tourism and Investment (ITI) joined two members of CDÉTNO — an organization fostering economic opportunity for the NWT's Francophone community — attended Destination Canada in Paris, France.

This large job fair promotes Canada's provinces and territories beyond Quebec as places to set down roots and prosper.

It was an opportunity for the GNWT to push their newly re-launched immigration portal and possibilities offered by the NWT Nominee Program, which offers various paths to expedite permanent residency in the NWT.

Attraction and recruitment initiatives are part of the GNWT's mandate commitment to grow the population of the NWT for a stronger economic future.
