While many visitors have called the Northwest Territories one of the best kept secrets in tourism – it may not stay a secret for long!
NWT Tourism (NWTT) has launched a new promotional campaign called Secrets. In honour of Canada’s 150th anniversary, NWTT will be revealing 150 secrets about the NWT.
Through the campaign, 150 lucky Canadians will win return airfare to Yellowknife. Ten of these winners will get to explore beyond the capital city with all-inclusive travel packages to each of the five NWT regions (two winners per region).
“In the spirit of Canada’s 150th anniversary, the Northwest Territories Secrets campaign will share the wonders of our territory with our fellow Canadians. As we continue to build our world-class tourism industry, I look forward to sharing our spectacular home with Canada and the world,” said Minister of Industry, Tourism and Investment (ITI) Wally Schumann.
NWT residents are not eligible to enter but are encouraged to share contest details with friends and family outside the territory.
Visit www.SpectacularNWT.com/secrets for contest details and instructions on how to enter.
NWTT provides destination marketing for the NWT under a funding agreement with ITI – a key element in the GNWT’s support for the tourism sector. The NWT’s tourism industry was valued at $167.1 million in 2015/16 and provides immense opportunities for business development and economic diversification.
