The Government of the Northwest Territories (GNWT) is interested in better understanding the economics of developing conventional onshore natural gas reserves located in the Mackenzie Delta region of the Northwest Territories (NWT).
The Mackenzie Delta contains substantial proven publicly owned conventional natural gas reserves that could be developed for export and would provide economic benefits to the Inuvialuit Settlement Region, NWT and Canada. The study concept is called “Mackenzie Delta Liquified Natural Gas” or MDLNG Project.
