This program is intended to encourage film producers to choose the Northwest Territories (NWT) as their film location by rebating a percentage of the money they spend in the area. The rebate covers costs such as goods and services, traveling within the NWT, and hiring or training local residents.
To encourage film and television production companies active in the Northwest Territories (NWT) to film on location in the NWT, to purchase goods and services in the NWT, and to create employment and skill development opportunities for NWT Residents. For general conditions applying to all ITI contribution programs, please see ITI’s Grants and Contributions Policy. Where there is a conflict or inconsistency between the Grants and Contributions Policy and a provision of this Policy, the provision of this Policy will prevail.
The Department of Industry, Tourism and Investment (ITI) advances the Northwest Territories (NWT) creative sector by investing in NWT artists and providing financial support to drive economic growth in the NWT.
The Artist to Market Program (AMP) creates economic opportunities for NWT artists to showcase their talents and sell their work outside of the Northwest Territories (NWT).
AMP is a project specific funding program that takes a group of NWT artists to an out-of-territory activity.
