The 15th Annual Yellowknife International Film Festival opens Wednesday virtually.
With support from the Department of Industry Tourism and Investment, this year’s festival  lineup includes 10 features, 38+ short films, and extra content added over the course of a four day event closing Sunday (Nov 3-7). 
The wide-ranging selection of stories from, across Canada and around the world, includes six filmed-in-the-NWT productions.
Caroline Cox’s exploration of radical activism through farming in Food for the Rest of Us tops a marquis that also includes On Pensive Waters, from Keith Robertson.
Viewers can join students paddling and learning skills from filmmaker Amos Scott in Paddling the Tsiigehnjiik, or follow Miranda Currie and her Sled dogs as they go on a training expedition in, Tails on Ice.
Director Jeremy Emerson recommends festival passes as the most economical way to access all that the festival has to offer.  (A full pass is only $75.00; a half pass will give you six screenings for $40.00.)  
To commemorate the 15th anniversary of the festival, attendees who buy a festival pass before November 3rd can win one of 15 prize packages provided by the NWT Film Commission. In addition to #nwtfilm branded free-bees, popcorn and candy, these gift bags include a $50 gift certificate to one of 15 Yellowknife restaurants to that you can enjoy dinner with your movie this year.
