An exciting week-long celebration of northern-based films at the annual Łı́ı́dlı̨ı̨ Kų́ę́ Film Festival is shining a spotlight on NWT visual artists, film-makers, screenwriters, and film producers.
This is the second year for the festival. It began Sunday (February 21, 2021) with two exclusive screenings of the NWT film “Elijah and the Rock Creature.”
Many of the films on the bill this week celebrate the Dehcho Region and its wealth of culturally rich stories about the land, and its people. The marquee boasts a number of productions filmed in the Dehcho region and with connections to Fort Simpson residents.
