The NWT Film Commission and the Department of Industry Tourism and Investment were on hand to support and cheer on the 4th Annual NWT Professional Media Association Film & Media awards gala this weekend - honouring the talents and contributions of individuals in the NWT’s media industry.
The Gala was a fitting and magnificent finale to a very exciting week of films, professional development, networking and relationship building at the Yellowknife International Film Festival (YKIFF).
Speaking on behalf of the Minister Caroline Wawzonek, ITI Deputy Minister Pamela Strand noted that it was good to feel “the buzz” again as the NWT’s film and media sector re-emerged from the COVID-19 pandemic with in person screenings, workshops and events.
