Minister of Industry, Tourism and Investment Wally Schumann released a report yesterday highlighting continued progress on the Northwest Territories’ (NWT) landmark Economic Opportunities Strategy (EOS).

The EOS 2015-2016 Progress Report recognized improvements in the four key themes of the EOS:

1. Climate for Growth
2. Building on Success
3. Regional Diversification
4. People: Opportunity Readiness

The Government of the Northwest Territories (GNWT) invested $4.1 million in EOS initiatives in 2015-2016 as part of their 10-year push to expand the NWT’s economic horizons guided by the strategy.

The EOS is the foundational document for economic diversification efforts under the GNWT mandate.
