Prospective Yellowknife entrepreneurs were invited to a lunchtime session on Wednesday to learn how the Department of Industry, Tourism and Investment (ITI) can help to transform their business plans and ideas into reality.

Staff members from ITI’s North Slave Regional Office hosted the event at the Yellowknife Elks Lodge to highlight a variety of funding and support programs for all manner of business.

Twenty eight members of the public attended the information session. They had business ideas in art, film, agriculture, tourism, and manufacturing, and had questions about all levels of services ranging from business plan development to project funding and land acquisition.

The hour-long presentation and question period also provided an opportunity to meet the ITI representatives that are available to work with them to develop effective and targeted funding applications.
