Northerners are pampering themselves at the newly opened Hannah’s Nail Spa in Hay River. Owner Hannah Duong told Cabin Radio her customers include residents of Fort Providence and Fort Smith who have driven specifically to receive manicures and pedicures.
Originally from Vietnam, Hannah moved to Hay River with her family in August to start a new life in the North. Six months later and to her surprise, Hannah’s has had an overwhelmingly positive response from the community and beyond – the available appointments were fully booked in the first two weeks.
Hannah and her family depended mostly on their business savvy, but did get a little bit of help from the Northwest Territories Nominee Program.
