With the easing of COVID restrictions the NWT Chamber of Commerce continues to advocate for northern businesses by sponsoring another reverse trade show.

The reverse trade show is an opportunity for businesses, mines, and government departments to layout their planned projects and projected procurement needs.
By working together, project proponents and local companies and businesses can help to ensure that infrastructure investments are spent locally and work to diversify, strengthen and grow the NWT’s regional and territorial economies.
With spending of over $200 million annually on various products and services, the GNWT, alone, is a massive customer for NWT businesses.
This year’s show will be held from 10:00 AM to 3:00 PM on Friday March 11, 2022 at the Explorer Hotel in Yellowknife.
ITI will be supporting this initiative as a participant in the show.
Kim Wilkins who oversees the GNWT’s Business Incentive Policy (BIP) and NWT Manufactured Products Policy will be in attendance.
Both of these programs recognize the higher costs of doing business in the North by offering preferential bid adjustments to qualifying companies—currently around 1,200—for using NWT and local content.
COVID-related practices will be in place. Appointment times will be allocated to one participant from each business and maximum of three individuals will be able to meet at each booth. Appointments will rotate every 15 minutes.
Attendees and participants will not need to provide proof of vaccination to attend the Reverse Trade Show. However, masks are mandatory for the event.
