Meetings, panel discussions, and networking are on the agenda as the Minister and Department of ITI jump across the pond to push investment in NWT mining.
This comes as the contingency prepares to attend the Canadian Mining Symposium in London, England.
The annual conference brings together Canadian jurisdictions in the centre of global finance, providing the opportunity to show investors what the NWT can offer in a competitive investment climate.
Minister Wally Schumann will spend much of the time face-to-face with investors selling the NWT difference — the NWT’s world-leading approach to fostering opportunities for investors looking for socially-conscious resource investments.
The Minister will also introduce a panel discussion entitled: The Northwest Territories: The Key To Unlocking Our Potential, which will bring together both GNWT and industry stakeholders to talk about doing business in the NWT.
The audience will include mining investment titans. ITI Deputy Minister Tom Jensen will be a panelist.
The GNWT contingency includes the Department of ITI’s Deputy Minister and Assistant Deputy Minister for Mineral and Petroleum Resources.
Pushing the NWT difference worldwide is part of the GNWT’s mandate to encourage responsible resource development and foster economic opportunity.
The symposium runs April 24-25, while meetings and engagements will also take place April 23 and 26.
