Dubbed the “Minister of Mines”, when introduced by Master of Ceremonies Gary Vivian representing the NWT and NU Chamber of Mines, Minister Wawzonek looked back over the many important milestones achieved by the NWT and its resource industry since the first Geoscience Forum in 1972.

“In the 50 year-history of this event, the unpredictable, the unimaginable and the improbable have all become reality,” she said.
