Another year, another successful reception for the Northwest Territories delegation at AME Roundup.
This year’s NWT Night attracted roughly 250 delegates — investors, explorers, and other leaders from industry and Indigenous governments among them — from one of the global mining industry’s premier events.
It’s one of several events the NWT delegation has taken part in as they push to build relationships and attract the investment necessary to reach the territory’s economic goals.
So far, those include a Socio-Economic Agreement signing, networking sessions, meetings companies, and participation in panel discussions to tell the story of the NWT’s approach to fostering partnership in the mining industry.

The night wound up with a De Beers-donated diamond from Gahcho Kue being handed out as a door prize to lucky winner John Mcvey.
The .54 carat diamond, valued at $3000 US, was handed out by Erik Madsen — General Manager of Sustainability for De Beers Canada.
Below are some photos of the trip so-far.
