The deadline for Tourism Training Fund applications is fast approaching as people interested have until April 8, 2019.
The Tourism Training Fund (TTF) is designed to fund short-term training opportunities for tourism workers to gain new skills or to upgrade skills and assist tourism operators in the NWT to support and encourage a well-trained tourism labour force.
Training must be short, formal courses or workshops, less than 12 weeks in duration. Courses can be in-person, distance education such as online courses, or a combination of in-person and distance education.
Submit your application to your Department of Industry, Tourism and Investment regional office by April 8 to position yourself for success in our booming tourism industry.
Funding is provided as part of the GNWT’s commitment to invest in diversifying the NWT’s economy. With $200 million+ in annual activity, the tourism industry offers the best opportunity to achieve these ends.
