Is there training you have your eye on that will improve your tourism skills and knowledge? The GNWT has a fund that can help — but the deadline to apply is coming fast.
The Tourism Training Fund is designed to fund short-term training opportunities that allow tourism workers to gain new skills or upgrade exiting skills; and support NWT tourism operators investing in or supporting the growth of the NWT’s tourism labour force.
Submit your application to your Department of Industry, Tourism and Investment regional office by September 4 to position yourself for success in our booming tourism industry.
Funding is provided as part of the GNWT’s commitment to invest in diversifying the NWT’s economy. With $200 million+ in annual activity, the tourism industry offers the best opportunity to achieve these ends.
