The 2nd Annual NWT Mining and Exploration Awards saw yet another selection of innovators and leaders associated with the NWT’s minerals industry recognized for their contributions.

Hosted by the NWT and Nunavut Chamber of Mines with sponsorship from the GNWT’s Department of Industry, Tourism and Investment (ITI), the gala awards event concluded this year’s edition of the annual Yellowknife Geoscience Forum.

“From boots-on-the-ground-exploration to long term monitoring – and through the full spectrum of study, construction, production and reclamation that falls in between, the NWT’s mining industry is among the best in the world,” Minister of ITI Wally Schumann noted in opening remarks.
