ITI's Michelle Keizer, Tourism Development Officer, and Tina Schwartzenberger, Business Advisor were on hand Wednesday at the Annual Community Services Fair in Fort Smith to chat with residents about the various programs and services offered by the Department.
“It’s a great opportunity to reach out and connect with new and returning students and let them know about all of the programs and services available to them through ITI,” Keizer says. “We’re here to help! If anyone wants to learn more, we encourage them to stop by the office and chat with us so we can find the best programs, training or information for them.”
Keizer and Schwartzenberger spoke with about 60 participants and discussed programs and services such as SEED, NWT Arts and NorthernMost Host. They also spoke about how residents can get their tourism operator license, how to start a business and where they can learn more about Indigenous cultural tourism.
