On October 25th, The Town of Inuvik hosted 18 People From the Beaufort Delta region for a social media workshop that focused on tourism.

The full-day course received support from the GNWT’s Department of Industry, Tourism and Investment ‘s (ITI) Tourism Training Fund and brought up Sara Raymond from Destination Think!, an organization specializing in destination marketing.  Sara delivered a full-days’ worth of learning and hands-on activities for participants.

While the focus of the workshop was to teach the basics of digital marketing for tour operators, tourism businesses, community organizations, event organizers, Indigenous governments, retail businesses and artists also took advantage of the learning opportunity.
