Be sure to add these two upcoming events to your calendar!

From Dene games, dog sled races, arts and crafts and so much more, this weekend-long carnival, brings together northern spirit and camaraderie. The events are hosted by K’atl’odeeche First Nation. More information here.
- Polar Pond Hockey, March 13-15, Hay River
Is there anything more Canadian than a hockey game played on a frozen pond? Ten outdoor rinks are created at the Fisherman’s Wharf site in Hay River, where teams skate it out to take home the tournament title. Live music and fireworks add to the fun of this lively festival. More information here.
Festivals, events and cultural gatherings play a big role in trip planning for visitors and increasingly holidays are centered around them. The Department of Industry, Tourism and Investment is pleased to provide support for these two events and the economic opportunities they create for our communities, through Community Economic Development under SEED.
