In one of the more popular engagement opportunities at this year’s AME Round Up, industry executives met face to face with NWT elected representatives and officials Tuesday - but only for a limited time. In a format akin to "speed dating" networking windows were timed and when the clock ran out on one meeting, the NWT delegation would move on - and with a new round of handshakes and pleasantries, new talks would begin.

Minister of Industry Tourism and Investment, Wally Schumann was a featured panellist this afternoon in the annual Government-Industry Forum at the AME Roundup in Vancouver.

From the beginning, Darrell Beaulieu’s vision has included Dene people exploring for – and benefitting from – the NWT’s resources. As a respected champion for Indigenous involvement in the natural resource industry, his work has garnered much acclaim over several decades. Most recently he took home one of the first-ever MAX Awards for Indigenous Achievement in the NWT mineral resource industry. He accepted the award, to a standing ovation, at the NWT Geoscience Forum Gala in November.
The Northwest Territories’ (NWT) lakes, rivers and rapids are often touted as world-class for canoeing and kayaking; and now new episodes of PowerBoat Television are shining a whole new light on the territory’s waterways. Cast and crew travelled to the NWT and filmed expeditions and adventures around Hay River and Yellowknife.
